Heather Sawyer is a native to northeastern North Carolina. She attended Northeastern High School and Elizabeth City State University where she received her B.S. in Accounting. Shortly after graduation she worked for a law firm that handled probate and estate administration as well as residential and commercial real estate transactions in North Carolina and Virginia.
Her experience in real estate law lead her to pursue a new career in real estate sales. After gaining experience working with another real estate broker, Heather decided to open a United Country franchise in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.
In her free time she serves as an active board member for Girls, Incorporated of the Albemarle, enjoys walking, biking and trips to the beach with her children. Heather's deep roots in the area help serve her local sellers and provides her out of town buyers with great insight to the local area and real estate market.
Originally born and raised in York Pennsylvania, Meleka fell in love with the tranquility of small-town Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Though she’s always had a passion for travel having been to over 8 countries and spending many of her summers in Mexico while growing up, North Carolina always felt like home.
Since moving to the area in 2014, Meleka was able to identify her passion in real estate while working in the vacation property management industry in the Outer Banks. Born and raised in Elizabeth City, NC Samara (Sam) Griffin attended Northeastern High School and went on to East Carolina University to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Sam has always worked in Customer Service and has a passion for impacting other’s lives in any positive way she can. After college Sam returned to Elizabeth City where she purchased her first home, which is what sparked her interest in Real Estate.
